Sign Petition to Delay Berm Stabilization at Puvungna!

Thank you for helping Protect Puvungna!

In September 2021, a settlement was reached with California State University, Long Beach, providing permanent protection to the sacred site of Puvungna, the 22 remaining accessible acres of ceremonial space for the Tongva and Acjachemen nations upon which the university now sits.

Following this monumental victory, Friends of Puvungna is now working toward becoming an official land conservancy organization in order to be granted caretaker status of the 10 acres of Puvungna that are going into conservation easement. Friends of Puvungna has recently obtained nonprofit 501(c)(3) status and will be organizing new fundraising initiatives in the near future.

Alongside this long-term goal, Friends of Puvungna will continue working to educate, hold ceremony, and heal and build the Puvungna community, seeking additional protections and grants to help us preserve Puvungna for future generations! ✊
